Project Safekids

The Project SafeKids Program offers free child identification CD-ROMs to concerned parents at local community events. The “Amber Alert” compatible CDs contain the child’s fingerprints and current photo and are given to the parents for safekeeping in case of an emergency. The Amber Alert System is active in all 50 states and used by a majority of law enforcement agencies for missing children reports.

The process is very simple and has been met with large parent participation at every community sponsored event. Professionals from the Project SafeKids organization come to each event and operate out of a compact area with their advanced scanning equipment. Parents are asked to fill out a brief registration form and assist the SafeKids team digitally photograph and fingerprint their child.

The information is then entered into the system and the parents leave with a free, customized CD-ROM containing their child’s photograph and fingerprints. This permanent ID format easily interfaces with all police needs in the event that an “Amber Alert” is ever required for your child.

Communities and local law enforcement units have really embraced this concept with great enthusiasm.
